It Rained!!! Peppers & Cost Plus Grain Medley

It Rained!!!
The first rain we've had since early July came in yesterday afternoon! Steady rain for a couple of hours and much cooler. Flannel shirt, jeans and hot tea instead of shorts. We only got about 1/10th of an inch of rain, but it really cleared up the smoke. Bluer skies today, about 70, what a relief!

Peppers & Cost Plus Grain Medley-
This year was the first time I've gotten some nice bell peppers. I harvested the above early for some homemade black bean chili. I found this nice looking grain and pasta medley at Cost Plus for $3.00, so I'm going to try it with some veggies, cheese, and maybe some bacon :)

Sooooo glad you got some rain! We've had rain again so they are actually cutting the hay fields as they grew (a little bit). Our peppers are done for the year, so I'm jealous of yours :)

What a relief that must be - I'm so glad it cleared up the smoke! That grain mix looks wonderful - I'd love to find the same here (without the pasta, of course). And those peppers! Gorgeous!

So glad you finally got rain- even if it's only a little bit. Maybe it's the 'gateway rain'. You know, just to get back in practice. But at least it has helped with the smoke.
