Last Year I Created My Chicken Tree
I don't like doing holiday decorating too early, but I put up most of my generic winter decor, and a few Christmassy things this week. With the snow on the ground it inspired me! Tree will go up this weekend. Here's a peek!

What's Your Digital Footprint?
We were shown this excellent video at work last week. It's a great reminder of how a photo, comment, or blog post about something or someone could be perceived of as inappropriate, unprofessional, or racist and could be used against you in a legal or job situation. People think- it will never happen to me! Wise up. Better safe than sorry....

OMG, I LOVE the Chicken Tree!!!
Thanks, Kat from roseprairiequilts gave me the idea and gifted me with some of the the chickens, then I added a few of my own, and some fabric and other goodies
I actually bought the pattern for those ornaments, and gifted some this year. They are so cute. Yes, the internet is a difficult and dangerous place, but folks have to keep an open mind too.
Thanks Kristina. The internet just leaves a trail. I know employers now have ways of making hiring/firing decisions based on Facebook postings, etc., ("wow I drank way too much last night"). Younger users, especially, need to be taught to use some self-control and edit themselves. In some professional settings I've been in I've seen way too many people texting, when they should be focused on their job (unless they're a heart surgeon on call). It will probably catch up with them... caution is good....
Adorable chicken tree! Anya must be a very well-behaved cat. My three boyz would have it down and shredded (and shoved under the hutch) in about five minutes!
It's up high on a cabinet :)
