Anya Watching the Spring Birds
Coop Re-Do-
After much gathering of materials & building I finally was able to paint yesterday! 75, clear, sunny and a little breezy.
Before painting
After painting and decorating! Same color as before- our house trim color
My new sign from Bainbridge Farm Goods- Etsy I like the purple and sage combination
My old yard sale sign
My $10.00 door!
The old coop, nice but hard to clean. We saved the sun room for winter, and will use then.
Spring Garden-
Today I planted oak leaf lettuce, french radishes and flat leaf Italian parsley in our cold frame. I planted some starts of other lettuces, collard greens (which did awesome last year!) and Swiss chard last week. I got the pansies in my kitchen window basket, which I love!
It looks great. Yesterday was out good weather day. Today was nice in Gooding, but the wind was a pain in the neck. We didn't get done near the amount of projects we had planned, but the chicks got a new brooder. Good job on the coop redo. I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm a "practical" kind'a gal, I have to admit, I'd LOVE to fancy up my chicken coop! Your's looks just lovely :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and YAY for kitty pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks, most of the materials were recycled or free. We bought very little,
ReplyDeleteYes, we LOVE Anya!
That new coop looks great! I will not let my hens see it, as it's much nicer than theirs... and I love the color. My cats are like Anya and love their Cat TV.
ReplyDeleteDang, Susan beat me to the Cat TV comment! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove, love the new taller chicken house! I'll bet it will be MUCH easier to clean. Looks like you have a good start on your garden too!
Love the picture of your cat. I am a cat person. I have 4 of them. Your coop turned out great.
ReplyDeleteThanks all ladies!
